Alberta Ferretti Limited Edition Fall 2019

Alberta Ferretti did not hold back with her Limited Edition demi-couture collection, with bold designs and intricate 3-D embroideries, which belied an underlying simplicity. Indeed, simplicity was a starting point for the designer, who said she was looking to “create a new silhouette with new, important volumes,” with an eye on “personalization and eccentricity” at the same time.
Big bows, sculptural sleeves, capes and draping on beautiful fabrics such as radzmir contrasted with simple silhouettes. Ferretti said the designs reflected “a woman’s strong identity,” which has always fascinated her and she enthused about “a dress that can move, accompany and transform a woman.”
This season, the designer also further elaborated the marine theme she developed for her latest resort lineup, shown in May in Monte Carlo, with fairy-tale lamé embroideries on jacquard gowns that looked like the seabed of an ocean, or delicate chiffon slipdresses embellished with degradé sequins that had a wet effect similar to “drops that fall off the body,” said the designer, reiterating her ongoing fascination with nature.

MILAN — Say it with a sweater.
In keeping with the success of her Rainbow Week knits — the range of sweaters with the days of the week which made their debut on the brand’s pre-fall catwalk in January — Alberta Ferretti has developed a special style for the holiday season.
A red cashmere crewneck sweater showing the wording “Merry Christmas” in ivory-white will be sold in exclusive at luxury online fashion shopping destination starting from Nov. 17 at noon.
The sweater, which will be available for women, men and children, will retail at 295 euros for the children’s version and at 440 euros for the adult option.
In the last few months, the Alberta Ferretti brand developed special editions of the Rainbow Week sweater, including a style celebrating fashion influencer Chiara Ferragni’s 30th birthday anniversary last May and the one created for Milanese retailer La Rinascente introduced last September during Milan Fashion Week.

Alberta Ferretti to Debut Capsule for La Rinascente Shops-in-Shop

MILAN IN LOVE: On Sept. 20, Alberta Ferretti will open a new shops-in-shop at La Rinascente‘s department store in Milan, located on the third floor. To celebrate the unit, Ferretti created an exclusive collection of crewnecks.
The range of four different cashmere and wool blend sweaters features a heart-shaped intarsia on the front with a handwritten slogan that says “Innamorati a Milano,” or “Fall in Love in Milan.”
Similarly to the eye-catching color combinations of Ferretti’s “Rainbow Week” sweaters, the new lineup of knitwear will be available in mélange gray with pink lettering, red with ivory lettering, black with red and pink with mint green.
Retailing at 440 euros, the collection will be sold in limited quantities, exclusively at La Rinascente, starting Sept. 20.
Most recently, the Alberta Ferretti “Rainbow Week” sweaters, which first debuted on the catwalk last January as part of the pre-fall 2017 and limited-edition collection, have been sported by the likes of Isabeli Fontana and Izabel Goulard in Venice, on the red carpet of the city’s international Film Festival.
